“This one looks like a giant bunny, look! Not that, the one on the left.” Jared’s finger points in an opposite direction, but Jensen is too relaxed, sprawling next to him on the grass, to point that out.
This is what he missed the most about being home, the endless stretch of a clear blue sky, the smell of freshly cut grass and no rush to go anywhere.
Sometimes, Jensen thinks, reaching for Jared’s hand, you just need to lie back, intertwine your fingers with the person you love and gaze at the clouds making their way across the sky.
